How do you make a jpg into a vector image in Adobe illustrator?

well, without learning illustrator and doing the hard way you have only one option, live trace.

Firstly prepare the jpeg, using photoshop (or another graphics program) adjsut the contrast of the image so that the colours are solid and stand out better. get rid of any fussy detail you wont need in the background. once you have done this load it into illustrator, select the jpeg, and then click the large live trace button. You can click the little arrow on the side to choose options like ';comic art'; etc.How do you make a jpg into a vector image in Adobe illustrator?
Stewie is right. Use Live Trace, and experiment with it's settings to get the effect you want. The result, however, will never be photo-realistic. PS - My avatar was done in Illustrator. How do you make a jpg into a vector image in Adobe illustrator?
Explaining what you wish to know, to someone, would be like explaining how to create a WMD. It usually requires extensive details, and a step by step explanation.

I'm obviously not going to do it here, but there are many websites that will help you out. Check out the numerous helpful Google results http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en%26amp;q=鈥?/a> and find one that works for you.

Happy vectoring!
