i really need to know this... can anyone help me??Can i do contour outline in illustrator with just a built in command??
Do you mean convert an image into lines and shapes???

If you have Illustrator CS 2 or 3, they have a built in ones that can do that. I don't think the other verison is capable of doing so.

  • Adobe Illustrator CS4 for Mac Desktop?

I am trying to create a CD/DVD book sleeve. And I wanted to know how to put a picture from the internet onto the book sleeve. Like what do I have to save the file as (well how to do that first) then how do I get it into AI and onto the book sleeve into the 3 picture slots?Adobe Illustrator CS4 for Mac Desktop?

What's better and why - Illustrator CS3 or Photoshop CS3?

They are basically the same. Photoshop has more painting, and effects features. But otherwise there really isn't anything that you can't do graphics/page wise with either program.

    But, thats my opinion.

In programs such as Indesign & Illustrator, what is slug?

What does it do?In programs such as Indesign %26amp; Illustrator, what is slug?
    Hi

This comes from an old printing term - it's basically an area around the page - allowing for trim marks, notes, reg marks etc etc.

Also we use them in the trade when making up folders etc which require pockets larger than the page area.

Hope this helps, if you'd like to know more, or have further indesign or illustrator questions please email me ay info@jellygraphics.co.uk

Creating web pages in Adobe Illustrator or InDesign?

I am creating web pages in illustrator and inDesign

and want to make the text html. Is Illustrator or InDesign better

for creating web pages, and particularly for entering text that will be interactive?

Is it the Save for Web command in Illustrator's file menu that makes the text html. and in Indesign, do I have to export the page to a pdf format and choose the right setting to have interactive text / links?

    Thanks,

DaveCreating web pages in Adobe Illustrator or InDesign?
I once had an instructor RAVE about how cool InDesign was for web design. I remember he mentioned that if you drop an InDesign page into GoLive, it'll do practically everything for you.

I haven't tried it myself, but the instructor sure felt strongly about it :)

Hi I am using illustrator and having problems rotating my design-it only snaps back at 90 degree angles.help!?

I have unlocked everything and tried grouping

Also tried diffrent options eg free transform etc

I must be something simple but just can't seem to work it out.

I also used live paint tool but took all that off I thought and would that effect it anyway?
