Illustrator CS3 and distress or distort filter?

Hi everybody,


I need some help to draw a design, if I like the design looks old by puting the filter on it, how can I do that, does it need working on it in photoshop or illustrator CS3 has the advantage, I try some but i didn't get that, please help me

you may be able to apply in illustrator, yet you would need pattern to map and apply design, and then either mask pattern or use layer,
