After writing out some text with the type tool in Adobe Illustrator, how do i then transform it so that it has the properties of an object, so that each letter is on it's own.
Thanks.Making text an 'object' in Adobe Illustrator?
Select or Highlight the text you want to make Objects and select 'Create Outlines' under the Text menu (Ctrl+Shift+O). If you've selected a block of text you'll have to 'Ungroup' after Creating Outlines to manipulate each letter or word separately.Making text an 'object' in Adobe Illustrator?

i'm not an illustrator expert but easiest way to do what you're asking is to use the create outlines under the text menu. then just ungroup it, under the object menu.
now you're free to move about the cabin.
cheers.
