Drawing software. What program is this illustrator using?

Please see this link to a tutorial vid for drawing. I wondered what software he is drawing with and similar ones someone can recommend? Will he be using a mouse or something to move the pencil?

Hi! This guy is drawing in Photoshop. Probably using a cintiq too... You can do this in Painter X if you wanted..

I learned how to do an ORC (Fantasy Drawing Charactor) with Ron Lemen's RPG Concept Drawing Class at xTrain.com: http://training.xtrain.com/course/show/9鈥?/a>

Ron does a lot of learn to draw in Painter X and Photoshop on xTrain. it's definetly worth the $20, $15 for studentsDrawing software. What program is this illustrator using?
It's photoshop and he's probably using a graphics tablet....it's like a pen on a board, it allows you to produce really detailled stuff.

You can use Photoshop, illustrator or if you aren't too advanced yet try serif draw plus 8 (very easy to use and it's similar to the previous ones metioned)
He is most likely using Photoshop, you could try a free trial from the Adobe website but it only lasts for 30 days. As for similar programs, the only free thing out there (that isn't a trial version) that I know of is the GIMP. The GIMP is similar to Photoshop in some ways and I use it and find it very, very good.

As to whether he is using a mouse, I am not sure. I thought I heard something like the clicking of a mouse but that could just be him as he's recording the sound for the video. If it's not a mouse it will be a pen tablet.
